What made you decide to compete in Field Trials?
Sylvia has been in field trials for many years and after watching Bruno in training, she worked out a deal to purchase him from Rick. Bruno was a leftover puppy and Rick purchased him from breeders Kip and Jodi Dixon.
Who are your training partners at home?
Bruno is trained by Rick Stawski at Fine Line Retrievers
What is the origin of your dog’s name?
Hunter Hastings came up with his registered name which is a reference to singer, Bruno Mars.
Tell us an interesting story about your dog.
Bruno placed in his first 12 trials. He has 35 points in 14 Derbies with three wins. He has won trials with three different handlers: Rick, Tom Fait and Danny Farmer.
You and your dog have survived nine series of the National Derby Championship. You are about to come to the line for the 10th series with a chance to be crowned the 2022 National Derby Champion. What song and artist would you want to hear playing as the two of you come to the line?
