10th Series Test Dogs

Test Dogs:

Bayou Teche Roaring Roscoe, "Roscoe," LM

Handler: Kody Reynolds

Roscoe and Kody came to the line first at 2:14 pm

F –  Across the terrace, into the pond, over the point and pulled left towards the gunners. Roscoe quickly check points and moves around the shore and back in the water to retrieve his bird.

M – Arrived right of the dead tree, back around the gunners and over to the bird.

L – He hits the first pond and begins to pull left, exits the pond and gets right into the next, goes across the water, out and makes a couple of loops deep and then comes up with the bird!

Next up was Sue and Kidd, they came to the line at 2:23 pm

F –  Out across the pond and she comes out on the far point to run behind the gunners. A brief look about and then she jumps in and grabs her bird!

M – Right of the tree, she continues on to make quick work of this bird!

L – In the first pond and veering hard to the right. Out of the pond she cuts to the middle gun and is helped to the left bird.

9th Series Test Dogs

First came Roscoe and Kody, they came to the line at 11:39 am and got a No-Bird

L –  No-Bird on the Long Bird...will rerun

Next up was Sue and Kidd, they came to the line at 11:40 am

S –  Drove to the sticks, came around back and missed it, looped in the field, back to the sticks and found her bird.

L – Wide right around the mound, drove on out further and she got her bird.

S –  Smack!

RR – Excellent line out to the guns, hesitant to cross the road, hunted near the side, went left and right and then across the road and got it!

8th Series Test Dogs

Test Dogs:

First up was Sue and Kidd, they came to the line at 7:45 am

L –  Up past the fall area for a quick turn and her bird.

RR – Ran left of the bale into a field on the right, had to handle her back to the bird.

**There was a brief delay after the first test dog, while tree limbs were cut.

Next came Roscoe and Kody, they came to the line at 8:05 am

L –  Looped short on his way out, then straight to the bird.

RR – Out left of the bushes and left of the blind, up to Graeder which was shining, had to handle back into the field, and he got it.

7th Series Test Dogs

First up is Roscoe and Kody, they came to the line at 1:45 pm

S –  Down the hill, across the road and into the pond, grabbed his bird on the shore.

L – Down and up, he caught the left edge of the pond, drove the hill, missed on the right, hunted deep left twice, came back into the trees for his bird.

** Had to stop and change the test slightly due to a drain that had to be covered in the closest pond. Gunners moved left 10' and the throw was adjusted to avoid limbs cut to cover the drain.

Next test dog was Sue and Kidd, they came to the line at 2:06 pm

S –  Down and into the pond, out close to the guns, circled deep, back to the pond and the bird.

L – Across the field into pond 2, up in front of the guns, into the trees, 2 stabs and she got it!

6th Series Test Dogs

First Test dog, Sue and Kidd came to the line at 9:13 am

F –  Right to the area and got it with a few tight turns.

LL – Down in front of the guns, up to the top of the dam, down and around the guns, back up, down to the trees, she hunted until she found it.

Next up ...  Roscoe and Kody came to the line at 9:20 am

F –  Straight to it!

L – Down low, circled the guns, back and circled the trees, came back to the flyer and had to handle to his bird.

This test should take the dogs approximately 3-5 minutes to complete.

5th Series Test Dogs – Day 2

Test Dogs:

First up ...  Roscoe and Kody came to the line at 7:30 am

F –  Straight to it.

L – Into the pond, over the point, out on the far side, up the right side of the dam, ran directly to the bird.

Next, Sue and Kidd came to the line at 7:36 am

F –  Nice line with a big splash on her water entry to retrieve her bird.

L – Across the field, over the middle of the point, into the corner of the pond, up on the dam, took a hard right and then straight to the bird.

There will be 5 dogs running this morning to complete the 5th Series ....

5th Series Test Dogs

First up ... Sue and Kidd came to the line first at 9:10 am

They had a no bird on the Flyer ... will rerun

Next up ...  Roscoe and Kody came to the line at 9:18 am

F –  Smack!

L – Into the 1st pond and over the 1st point, out and up towards the road, into the 2nd pond, drove up the hill to the fall and are had his bird. Nice!

Sue and Kidd came back to the line for a rerun at 9:26 am

F –  Out into the pond and got her bird.

L – Across the field, over the point, re-entered the pond, up the hill, over the levee and across pond 2, drove up and stayed in front of the guns and she got it.

This test is averaging about 7 minutes to complete.

4th Series Test Dogs

First up was Roscoe and Kody ... Roscoe came to the line at 1:18 pm

L – Drove in the grass on the right of the road towards the guns, crossed over to the bird.

R – Came in right of the guns deep, worked deep and got it!

Next up was Sue and Kidd came to the line at 1:23 pm

L – Down to the guns, hunted right and deep back to the guns, circled the mound and crossed the road and got her bird.

R – Out to the guns, wrong side, but worked it out quickly and got her bird.

 

This test looks to be taking about 4-5 minutes per dog to complete ...

3rd Series Test Dogs

R – Quick Right 1 loop and she got it

LL – Crossed the field, angled right, into cover and got it

Next up was Roscoe and Kody ... Roscoe came to the line at 7:45 am

R – Went deep and hunted several loops then he got it.

LL – Into the pond on a great angle, took a right when he got out and went down to the tree line and set up a hunt at the guns. Left and right before going into cover and he got it.

 

2nd Series Test Dogs

Shot and sent, down through the pond, up the hill and right to the bird!

Down through the pond, across the road, up the terrace, to the bushes, missed it, recycled and got it!

1st Series Test Dogs

The National Anthem Kicked off the 2022 National Derby at 7:35 am

F – Out to the fall area and she got it!

L – Over the terrace to the right of the mound and headed back to the flyer - Gunners helped and she got it. (handle)

F – Long and flapping – straight to the area for a quick turn and his bird

L – Over the terrace, over the mound, up the hill, just right of the tree, turned left and he scooped up his bird!
