L – Big send across the field, just missing the water on the left side, up the hill under the arc and over to her bird.

Travis and Otis came to the line...
S – Went wide right, got out on the far end, made a short loop, turned quickly back to the water and got it!
L – Drove to the 2nd pond, swam across to the far left end, drove up under the arc, worked his way back down to the bird.

S – Down the hill into the pond, up the hill and under the arc, he turned right and came back down the hill and got his bird.
L – He went left of pond 2, heads way left, but then turns hard right to be even with the guns, then in front of the guns and over to his bird.

Greg and Ice came to the line at 3:34 pm
S – Bad popper shell ... Ice came right back to the line. Ice then flew down the hill into the pond, exiting just right of the bird. Turned left to catch the scent and scoops it up!
L – Directly towards the end, but veers left to head around the water, went behind the guns and sets up a hunt deep and to the left, back to the right and to the bird.
31. Midway’s Minion, “Tag,” BLF, Nik Koumoundouros
Nik and Tag came to the line at 3:28 pm
S – Tag is off on a good line into the pond, was drawn to the left under the arc, goes up to the cedars and then turns back to the right to wind her bird.
L – Out into the left edge of pond 2, came out on line and drives directly to her bird. Excellent mark!

Paul and Bessie came to the line at 3:23 pm
S – Into the pond, squared towards the gunners, was pulled away by a decoy but stopped before she fell for that trick! Out for a loop deep of the cedars and then back to the pond area for her bird.
L – Driving towards the guns, pulled left around the pond, adjusted her line, came in under the arc and back to the bird.

Wendy and Rumor came to the line at 3:17 pm
S – Flew down the hill and into the pond with a huge splash, back out and turned deep, back to the pond and got her bird.
L – Raced up the hill, veered left away from the 2nd pond, deep of the guns, back around and came down to the trees and her bird.

S – Took a wide right down the hill, up the dam and into the far right end of the pond, out and up the hill, past the cedars, back down and to the bird.
L – Picking up speed as he goes up the far hill, he cut right after he passed the 2nd pond and came out at the bird.

Mike and Blitz came to the line at 3:09 pm
S – Into the pond, coming out under the arc, circling behind the cedars, then coming back down to the shore to grab his bird.
L – Blitz drove the field, just missing the water on the left side, up the hill with a small loop to the bird.

S – Down the hill into the pond, he came up under the arc and then up the hill, made a couple of passes and then back down to his bird.
L – Drives the field, hitting the water on the left side, exited the pond under the arc, gets slightly deep and then comes back down to get his bird.

Robby and Papi came to the line at 2:43 pm
S – Papi went down the hill and into the pond swimming directly to his bird. Nice mark!
L – Across the field entering the pond, he drove the hill behind the gunners, swings left and then back to the right. Comes back down to his bird.

S – Drove the field, a big splash, out by the guns up between the trees, worked her way back to the bird.

S – Down the hill, across the road and into the pond, grabbed his bird on the shore.
L – Down and up, he caught the left edge of the pond, drove the hill, missed on the right, hunted deep left twice, came back into the trees for his bird.
** Had to stop and change the test slightly due to a drain that had to be covered in the closest pond. Gunners moved left 10' and the throw was adjusted to avoid limbs cut to cover the drain.

S – Down and into the pond, out close to the guns, circled deep, back to the pond and the bird.

Test 7 – Water Double
Test 7 – Water Double
This will be a Water Double in the "Derby Field." The mat is on a mound facing south. The field runs down to a gravel road, then starts to rise on the far side. There is a pond as the hill starts to rise. Just on the far side is a cluster of cedars. To the left and a little fart her up the hill is a 2nd small pond. Progressing further up the hill close to the top is Gun Station #1.
The Bird #1 Gun Station is located 320 yards from the mat. This hen mallard is thrown right landing at the base of a clump of trees. The line to this bird takes the dog down the hill, across the road, up through pond 2 and continues up the hill to the bird. (We will refer to this mark as L for Long)
The Bird #2 Gun Station is located behind the lowest pond. These guns sit 196 yards from the mat. They are located in front of a group of cedars on the back side of the water they shoot then throw a hen mallard to the right towards a tree line. This bird lands behind the shore line. (We will refer to this mark as S for Short)

6th Series – Land Double with a Flyer
Test 6 is a Land Double with a Flyer
This morning we are at the "Dam Field" for this series. This will be a Land Double with dead hen pheasants. The mat is on a hill on the north side facing south. The field is bordered on the left by a long dam and on the right by a tree line. The mat is close to the North end of the dam. The field is almost shaped like a bowl.
Bird #1's gun station is located 227 yards from the mat. These gunners are just deep of a large cluster of evergreens. They will shoot, then throw the hen pheasant to the left landing on top of a terrace that runs left to right across the end of the field. (We will refer to this mark as LL for Long Left)
Bird #2 is the hen pheasant flyer station. These gunners are closer to the middle of the field. Their station is 167 yards from the mat. They will throw then shoot to the right towards the tree line. The bird will be thrown towards a small grouping of 3 or 4 bushes. (We will refer to this mark as F for Flyer)
This test is taking approximately 3-5 minutes per dog to complete.

LL – Out across the field and into the pond, over the point in the middle, good angle out the far corner of the pond, up the dam, turned right, up the hill and got his bird.

Marc and Earl came to the line at 7:58 am
F – Turning circles as he went out to the bird, and he got it!
LL – Across the field into the pond, over the right end of the point, out on the far side, ran all the way from the 1st pond to his bird!

Seth and Mikey came to the line at 7:51 am
F – Got a flapper! Perfect!
LL – Across the point and into the corner, up the dam and into the water, up the terrace and to the bird.

Mike and Halle came to the line at 7:42 am
F – Out to the left, turned right and she got it!
LL – Across the field, skimmed left, across the middle of the point, out at the corner, up the dame and into the 2nd pond, up the terrace field to her bird.

L – Into the pond, over the point, out on the far side, up the right side of the dam, ran directly to the bird.

Next, Sue and Kidd came to the line at 7:36 am
F – Nice line with a big splash on her water entry to retrieve her bird.
L – Across the field, over the middle of the point, into the corner of the pond, up on the dam, took a hard right and then straight to the bird.
There will be 5 dogs running this morning to complete the 5th Series ....

**ANNOUNCEMENT**
The 5th Series has been called for the day.
We will resume the 5th series Thursday morning. The running order to complete the 5th Series will be as follows: #57, #62, #42, #49, #56.
There will be 2 Test Dogs running at 7:30 am, and then the test will commence.
**IMPORTANT** Instructions for Thursday Morning:
All Contestants that have COMPLETED test 5 should go to the site of test 6 in the morning and callbacks will be given there.
Directions to the 6th Series Grounds for Thursday -
- Take US 65 to HH and turn East
- Go to Tanglenook, which is just past the Retrieving Freedom Signs
- Turn Left and go 5 miles until you see the Derby Signs
- Watch for the property signs, they will have Flashing Lights
- Turn Right at the gates – Parking signs will be up
Only Contestants #57, #62, #42, #49, #56 should report back to the site of test 5 to complete the test. Then they will also head over to the test 6 site to hear the callbacks to the 6th with everyone else.

**ANNOUNCEMENT**
Visibility delay at 4:02 pm – There is a bad glare on the water at this test currently. There will be at least a 30 minute delay. Please stay tuned. Also ...
PLEASE NOTE: It has been decided that Dogs #42 and #49 that Picked Up will be given a rerun due to this Visibility issue. The glare was identified as the reason for the problem on their flyer. As a result, we will have 4 reruns at the end of the current running order – the two late pick-ups and the two earlier pick-ups.

Reid and Steal came to the line ...
F – Took a right to the tip of the point with guns, he could not see his bird ... but then he found it, goes strong and he gets it!
LL – In the pond over the right end of the point, out to the far shore, over the dam and back in the water up by the guns, back and forth, then he got his bird.
53. Chasing Macks Rippers Ace, “Riley,” BLM, Jeff Stetzenbach
Jeff and Riley came to the line at 3:37 pm
F – Got in then back up on the point with the guns, back in the water and out to the bird.
LL – Across the field, into the pond, on to the point at the right end, swam to the far shore, up the dam and took a right to hook the guns, then back down to his bird.
51. Moses N Rain’s Storm On The Black River, “Storm,” BLF, Marc Patton
Marc and Storm came to the line at 3:30 pm
F – Had a bit of a bobble but worked it out quickly
LL – Across the middle of the point, back in the pond, out on the far side, climbed the hill to the back side of the guns, deep loop, came back down and got it!
49. Seaside’s Horse Soldier, “Dagger,” BLM, Tracey Jensen
Tracey and Dagger came to the line at 3:22 pm
F – Got in and turned right, up and down off the point with the gunners. Could not find the bird, ended up on the shore, could not work it out. Picked up.
**NOTE: Due to water glare factors this dog will rerun this test at the end of the running order.
48. Silvertip’s Ring Of Light, “Halo,” BLM, Al Vezey
Al and Halo came to the line at 3:14 pm
F – Gone one flapping - Good job!
LL – Across the field into the pond, swam past the end of the point to the far side, ran all the way to get deep of the guns, turned left and came down to the bird.
No-Bird 45. Leitner Farms Home Run Hitter JH, “Babe,” YLF, James Hard
James and Babe came to the line at 3:10 pm and received a No-Bird on the Flyer
F – No bird on the Flyer
