L – Ran straight to the 2nd pond and got smack in the center, then got out on the far side and broke down, reoriented himself and went on up the hill and got his bird.

L – Great line to the 2nd pond, into the water and came out and drove straight to the bird.

L – He went left of pond 2, heads way left, but then turns hard right to be even with the guns, then in front of the guns and over to his bird.
Greg and Ice came to the line at 3:34 pm
S – Bad popper shell ... Ice came right back to the line. Ice then flew down the hill into the pond, exiting just right of the bird. Turned left to catch the scent and scoops it up!
L – Directly towards the end, but veers left to head around the water, went behind the guns and sets up a hunt deep and to the left, back to the right and to the bird.
Nik and Tag came to the line at 3:28 pm
S – Tag is off on a good line into the pond, was drawn to the left under the arc, goes up to the cedars and then turns back to the right to wind her bird.
L – Out into the left edge of pond 2, came out on line and drives directly to her bird. Excellent mark!
Paul and Bessie came to the line at 3:23 pm
S – Into the pond, squared towards the gunners, was pulled away by a decoy but stopped before she fell for that trick! Out for a loop deep of the cedars and then back to the pond area for her bird.
L – Driving towards the guns, pulled left around the pond, adjusted her line, came in under the arc and back to the bird.
Wendy and Rumor came to the line at 3:17 pm
S – Flew down the hill and into the pond with a huge splash, back out and turned deep, back to the pond and got her bird.
L – Raced up the hill, veered left away from the 2nd pond, deep of the guns, back around and came down to the trees and her bird.
Marc and Toot came to the line at 3:12 pm
S – Took a wide right down the hill, up the dam and into the far right end of the pond, out and up the hill, past the cedars, back down and to the bird.
L – Picking up speed as he goes up the far hill, he cut right after he passed the 2nd pond and came out at the bird.

S – Into the pond, coming out under the arc, circling behind the cedars, then coming back down to the shore to grab his bird.
L – Blitz drove the field, just missing the water on the left side, up the hill with a small loop to the bird.

S – Billy heads down the hill into the pond and sees his bird, right to it!
L – He heads towards pond 2 and jumps in the left edge, goes left of the gunners and turns right to go to his bird.

L – She takes the land left of the pond, hunting deep and left first, before moving right, circles deep and then moves into the bird.

L – Drives the field, hitting the water on the left side, exited the pond under the arc, gets slightly deep and then comes back down to get his bird.

Test Dogs:
Test 7 – Water Double
This will be a Water Double in the "Derby Field." The mat is on a mound facing south. The field runs down to a gravel road, then starts to rise on the far side. There is a pond as the hill starts to rise. Just on the far side is a cluster of cedars. To the left and a little fart her up the hill is a 2nd small pond. Progressing further up the hill close to the top is Gun Station #1.
The Bird #1 Gun Station is located 320 yards from the mat. This hen mallard is thrown right landing at the base of a clump of trees. The line to this bird takes the dog down the hill, across the road, up through pond 2 and continues up the hill to the bird. (We will refer to this mark as L for Long)
The Bird #2 Gun Station is located behind the lowest pond. These guns sit 196 yards from the mat. They are located in front of a group of cedars on the back side of the water they shoot then throw a hen mallard to the right towards a tree line. This bird lands behind the shore line. (We will refer to this mark as S for Short)

Conditions have changed somewhat, as the wind gusts have picked up significantly. The winds are gusting hard on the flyer guns and the dogs at about 25-30 mph. now, making their tasks a bit more challenging.

The weather this morning is about 54 degrees, the wind is gusting up to 20 mph out of the west. The mat is facing southwest, so the wind is coming right at the competitors.
Test Dogs:
Test 6 is a Land Double with a Flyer
This morning we are at the "Dam Field" for this series. This will be a Land Double with dead hen pheasants. The mat is on a hill on the north side facing south. The field is bordered on the left by a long dam and on the right by a tree line. The mat is close to the North end of the dam. The field is almost shaped like a bowl.
Bird #1's gun station is located 227 yards from the mat. These gunners are just deep of a large cluster of evergreens. They will shoot, then throw the hen pheasant to the left landing on top of a terrace that runs left to right across the end of the field. (We will refer to this mark as LL for Long Left)
Bird #2 is the hen pheasant flyer station. These gunners are closer to the middle of the field. Their station is 167 yards from the mat. They will throw then shoot to the right towards the tree line. The bird will be thrown towards a small grouping of 3 or 4 bushes. (We will refer to this mark as F for Flyer)
This test is taking approximately 3-5 minutes per dog to complete.

PLEASE NOTE: It has been decided that Dogs #42 and #49 that Picked Up will be given a rerun due to this Visibility issue. The glare was identified as the reason for the problem on their flyer.
